Summer begins.

Hello and welcome back Reader.

So with the best intentions we thought we would do another weekend cruise over the winter as we had both really enjoyed pretty much being the only boaters out in a cold week in January.....  but in the event we went to Seville and had a rather splendid time there celebrating wine weather and cuisine.  I can heartily recommend this venue and I think it might be repeated.

A bit dark I'm afraid owing to all the bright sunshine

So after hosting a houseful of guests over the Easter Break David had previously informed me that we will be leaving immediately after the weekend.  I obey my husband in all matters except the ones I think are wrong.

I smiled and went and had a manicure and pedicure instead and David declared that spending the extra day at home was a better idea.

So after a much better journey up than our return home trip in January in the sleet, we landed, nested, shopped and pretty much went to bed.

Today we set off, well after playing the "It won't start" game, surprising really as its been plugged in all winter, but the little wife remembered before the man in charge that you have to move a handle first.

So having travelled about a mile from the marina, moored opposite a field of lambs playing.

Tomorrow meeting friends who live in the immediate area and have never been up the Foxton Flight before.

Supper was sausages, sweet potato wedges, leftover ham joint and baked beans, food of the gods.

Happy bunny leaving the marina, miniutes later the sun went in.

  3. Welcome back indeed. A point of clarification...what does 'obey' mean?
